MARK ANDERSON, Photographer | Exhibit - Graffiti Corners

Opening Reception, Sunday, Sept. 7th, 2025 4pm-6pm at the Aurora General Store Gallery through Oct 5th (Open weekends)
Mark Anderson's vivid graffiti corner photographs capture street art in cities from New Orleans to New York to Ljubljana. The displays are filled with voices calling out for attention and challenging the mainstream.


STEVE & LISA BALL | Civil War History and Music

Opening Reception - Sat, May 17th, 2025 7pm at the Aurora General Store 
Steve Ball and Lisa Ball are musicians from Columbus, Ohio specializing in the music of the Civil War, and the music and life of Stephen Foster. They both have ancesters who served in the Union Army, and have devoted decades to studying and presenting the music of this era in American History. Steve will be performing on a collection of vintage Matin guitars dating from 1850 to 1860. He will also display his large collection of Civil War era sheet music.


ANN PANCAKE, Author

Reception and Presentation August 17th, 2025, 6pm at the Aurora General Store 
Ann Pancake is a native West Virginian, and award winning author. She has published two short story collecitons and one novel, Strange As This Weather Has Been, which was one of Kirkus Review's Top Ten Fiction Books of the Year. With a PHD from the University of Washington, she taught at several universities before becoming a freelance writer.


ANNA NASSIF, American Modern Dancer

Lecture: Pioneer in Choreography and Live Dance, Sunday, June 22nd, 2025  2pm-4pm at the Aurora General Store
Anna will discuss her prolific career in modern dance performnace, music and choreography. Her five decades of work included studying under Martha Graham, teaching at the University of Wisconsin, traveling, demonstrating and lecturing around the world. Her multi-faceted talents have resulted in a fascinating life story, and numerous prestigious awards and accolades. There will be a concurrent exhibit of watercolor paintings by the late Molly Vick.
